This is just a quick post to share a textual accident which some of you may find amusing/ telling/ eyebrow-arching.  A few days ago, I received an email by mistake (neither intended for me, nor from a sender I know) from within the drama department which read thus:

Re: Medea.  OK, cool!  Do you want me to try to be a woman, or shall I just be normal?

In honour of Bad Reputation’s Found Feminism category (not to mention Simon Jeffes’ “Music For A Found Harmonium”), I am declaring this an example of “found criticism”.  I think it behoves us all to keep our eyes open for road signs, headlines, soup labels and other pieces of text which whizz by, in case they are harbouring any more insights from the unexpected realm of found criticism…
